Reducing carbon emissions at Bell Plastics

September 1st, 2020

As part of the energy efficiency initiative, Bell Plastic is testing the energy consumption of each of its mandrel production lines. By monitoring energy usage during setting off, when running and while idle, Bell Plastics aims to improve energy consumption. Bell Plastics is also measuring the difference in energy consumption between old and new machines, and when machines are insulated.

If the programme is successful, tests will be expanded to all production lines, including film and wire. The objective is to improve energy efficiency, save costs and reduce carbon emissions.
